Book Recommendations

Well I am almost done with the Hunger Game trilogy!  I REALLY enjoyed it! There were so many twists and turns.  I was hooked from the beginning!!!! I would highly recommend this trilogy to those who haven’t read them yet!!!!
I was wondering what are some great books that you have read lately!?!  I was thinking of reading “Eat, Pray, Love” next but wasn’t sold on it yet! I have also heard some great things about “The Help”.
I am not really big on romance novels…but I enjoy just about every other genre!
Any suggestions!?!
Thanks so much 🙂

  1. I have read Eat, Pray, Love, & The Help. I LOVED The Help and what was even better was it wasn't a book I was sure about reading, so it was a great surprise when I couldn't put it down. Eat, Pray, Love was ok, but slow at times. The book was better than the movie however.

  2. The Help and Water for Elephants are the best books I have read in the past year! You won't be able to put either of them down. Also, if you're like me, and like to read the book before you see the movie you will want to read them before they both come out in theaters this Spring/Summer!

  3. One of my personal favorites is Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah. GREAT book about friendship.I just finished The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. Excellent book! If you like a suspensful novel, then you would love it. Water For Elephants and The Help are also excellent books! There are so many to choose from!

  4. ditto on water for elephants and the help! both are great reads! Do you like mysteries? I just finished In the Woods by Tana French. I couldn't put that down (and I normally don't read mysteries). I've just started the sequel to this book.

  5. I've read Eat, Pray, Love and it was ok for me. I loved the first part of the book, but then I got bored pretty fast. I love, love, LOVE the book "Sarah's Key" by Tatiana de Rosnay. It's so good and I've recommended it to everyone. Also, I really liked "Nineteen Minutes" by Jodi Picoult.

  6. You HAVE to read The Help! It is an absolute must! Definitely one of my favorite books!I also just finished Water for Elephants and it was a great read! I definitely recommend it!And if you've never read Something Borrowed & Something Blue by Emily Giffin those are amazing books!

  7. I couldn't get into Eat, Pray, Love at all, but I did love The Help. It's great! I also loved Water for Elephants. Have you read any Jodi Piccoult books? She has some really good ones too.

  8. I'm halfway through book two of the Hunger Games trilogy… I was shocked how much I liked it.I was just eh about Eat Pray Love. She was too whiny for me.Have you read the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanavitch? It is one of my favorites, suspense & laugh out loud funny.

  9. I thought Eat Pray Love was okay; I wouldn't recommend it. Have you read the Emily Giffin series- Something borrowed, etc. They are fun, easy reads. Firefly Lane is a great book- I recommend that as well!

  10. I had a hard time getting through Eat Pray Love. It was good, but I don't know what it was that made it so hard to get through. Who knows. The Help is one of my favorite books! I also read The Book Thief a few months ago. It's by Markus Zusak and I just loved it.

  11. I've never read "The Help" but I can say that I was not a fan of "Eat, Pray, Love." I couldn't even finish it and I always finish books. I did read the Millennium Series by Stieg Larsson and they are really good! I also read the book "After You" by Julie Buxbaum and I really enjoyed it. Water for Elephants was another good one. Digital Fortress by Dan Brown was good. Also, Handle with Care and Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult.

  12. I loved the Hunger Games too. If you're not scared of a long book, two fabulous ones I just read are Freedom by Jonathan Franzen, and Fall of Giants by Ken Follet…

  13. I really liked Eat, Pray, Love a lot! I think you should give it a shot you will be pleasantly surprised. Also I read Water for Elephants it was great! I also started the Nora Roberts Bride Quartet series and it is super cute and romantic I love it! I also would suggest The Other Boleyn Girl it is a great novel and there are more in the series that are just as great!
