Thoughts for Thursday…

Happy Cinco de Mayo!!!  Maybe we will celebrate by going out to eat at our favorite Mexican restaurant!
I am starting to think about what I am going to want to wear when we visit Rome this summer.  I know that I can not wear shorts and tank tops in most sights, so I guess I will wear either dresses or cropped pants.  I know that it is going to be pretty warm there in July…the average is high 87 low 70.
Outfits from our Paris trip…casual but not sloppy

I need to start writing my packing list soon!
I know that we need to buy new water bottles, a converter, another camera battery, and suitcase locks.
That list is bound to get longer the closer we get to July!
I am hoping to finish Something Borrowed this week!   Is there some order that I should read the Emily Griffin books?  I was thinking Something Blue next….what do you think?!
Something BIG is happening May 23-27 right here on this blog!!!   I am SO excited….stay tuned to find out more πŸ™‚
HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!!
I have gotten so many new WONDERFUL followers over the past couple of weeks!!  If you are new then introduce yourself, so that I can get to know you better πŸ™‚

  1. Something Blue should be next! That one was my favorite! I just bought a very lightweight Lilly Pulitzer dress that has 3/4 sleeves (might be too hot for summer but I know some places won't let you show your shoulders).

  2. Italy in July is great. Definitely wear comfy shoes. There's a lot of walking. And if you plan on going to the Vatican, make sure it's open. They are closed most Sundays. I love Rome. It's my favorite place.

  3. Yes, read Something Blue next. I would read the books in the order you have them listed on your website. I have read them all in that order and not to give anything away, I am glad I did. You are going to have a great time in Rome. Def wear comfy shoes and layers so when you are out and walking, you can take the layer off but then have it with you while walking into a church or another place that requires it. Are you going with a tour group or on your own? If you guys are going on your own, I would def recoommend the Rick Steves guidebook for Rome. He has some GREAT stuff in it and so much info he provides totally comes in handy. I use his books whenever I travel aboard and it always saves me. Have fun!

  4. Read the books in the exact order as the picture! I did, and I loved every one of them! Also, when I went to Rome, I wore a strapless sundress and carried around a sweater to wear into places that I needed to be covered! It definitely helped me stay cool while traveling but followed all the rules πŸ™‚ Hope that helps!

  5. Hello! I'm a new follow/new to blogging! You should definitely read Something Blue next… then Love the One You're With (my FAVORITE).I enjoy your posts!!!-Amyhttp://amytheagg1e.blogspot.com

  6. I'm super excited for this news! :D:D:DI love picking outfits for trips, although at times I find it to be extremely stressful-lol! I'm also an over packer so that doesn't really help me either.

  7. I'm definitely looking forward to Something Borrowed! I've read them all, I wish I could tell you the right order to read them in, I forget.

  8. Defiantly read Something Blue next but then after that it doesn't really matter. Something Borrowed and Something Blue are the only two that go together. I did read them in the order you have listed just because I have been a fan of Emily Giffin since Something borrowed came out!

  9. Yep, read Something Blue next. I didnt realize that there were so many now. I've got to catch up! I cannot wait to hear all about your trip (even though it is still a couple of months away). I will live vicariously through you!xoxoapril

  10. You guys will have so much fun on your trip to Rome! We did a Mediterranean Cruise for our honeymoon last year and Rome was by far my favorite stop (if only we'd had more than one day). The history teacher (and therefore nut) in me was like a kid in a candy store and my engineer husband thought all the buildings were pretty cool too πŸ™‚ Enjoy!
